The Client Statistics CIFSNG and SMB windows display a summary of CIFSNG/SMB activity, including session statuses, active sessions, uploaded/downloaded file statuses, bandwidth, and authentication requests. Additional statistics for SMB are also available. These statistics show the network and/or device under test behavior when responding to a number of CIFSNG/SMB sessions generated by the client.
These statistics are updated throughout the test at a pre-configured sampling interval.
Field | Description |

CIFSNG/SMB Sessions per second graph |
The CIFSNG/SMB session statuses as follows:
|
CIFSNG/SMB Active sessions graph | The number of active CIFSNG/SMB sessions established during a test. A session is considered active from the time the CIFSNG/SMB protocol conversation has been established, to the time the conversation ends. |
CIFSNG/SMB Uploaded files graph | The number of attempted, successful, and unsuccessful files written from the client to the server. |
CIFSNG/SMB Downloaded files graph | The number of attempted, successful, and unsuccessful files read from the server to the client. |
CIFSNG/SMB Bandwidth Kbytes/sec graph | The incoming and outgoing CIFSNG/SMB bandwidth traffic (in Kbytes/second). |
CIFSNG/SMB Authentications per second graph |
The number of authentication requests per second for each of the following authentication types:
|
SMB Statistics: | |
SMB Incoming File Transfer Time | Three separate plots showing the minimum, maximum, and average incoming file transfer time in milliseconds. |
SMB Outgoing File Transfer Time | Three separate plots showing the minimum, maximum, and average outgoing file transfer time in milliseconds. |
SMB Transaction Rate | A single plot showing the number of SMB requests per second (that is, the total protocol level transaction number divided by one interval length). |
SMB Requests | The total number of attempted, successful, and unsuccessful requests for each of the following request types:
|
SMB Response Time | The minimum, maximum, and average response time for each of the above request types. |
