Configuring a Client Profile

Client (user) profiles simulate the actions and behavior of users browsing an Internet site. You can create multiple profiles for each test to simulate different behaviors. For example, you might want to simulate users who visit your Internet site, click on three to five links in rapid succession, and then leave. Then create another profile that simulates users who visit your site, browse 10 or more separate pages for one minute each.

To configure a profile:

1. Select the test with which you want to work, and then click the Client tab.
2. Click the Profiles tab.
3. Select the profile that you want to use or click the buttons in the pane to create, copy, rename, or delete a profile.
4. Complete entries in the Client Profiles areas for the type of behavior that you want to emulate.
