Deleting Test Profiles

To define what you want your tests to do, you create configurations, often referred to as profiles. In most cases, to delete a profile you use the Delete button as described in the following procedure. However, some profiles, such as subnets, use a different method for deletion. See the help associated with the different Avalanche Commander tabs for more information.

NOTE: If you selected a profile for use on the Associations tab, you must remove it from the Associations tab before you can delete the profile.

To delete a profile:

  1. Select the test with which you want to work.
  2. Click the tab that defines the profile that you want to delete. For example, to delete a client profile, click Client, and then Profile.
  3. Select the profile that you want to delete from the Select a File drop-down menu. Click the Delete button.

IMPORTANT: If you delete a profile that is project-specific (can be used for more than one test within a project), it is no longer available to any of the tests within the project. For example, if you use the same user (client) profile for several advanced tests, and then delete the profile from one of the tests, it is no longer available to any of the tests within the project. For a complete list of test- and project-specific profiles for quick and advanced tests, see Test-Specific and Project-Specific Configuration Information.
