Server Statistics CIFSNG/SMB Window

The Server Statistics CIFSNG and SMB windows display a summary of CIFSNG/SMB activity, including session statuses, active sessions, uploaded/downloaded file statuses, bandwidth, and authentications performed. These statistics show the network and/or device under test behavior when responding to a number of CIFSNG/SMB sessions processed by the server.

These statistics are updated throughout the test at a pre-configured sampling interval.

Field Description
CIFSNG/SMB Sessions per second graph

The CIFSNG/SMB session statuses as follows:

  • Attempted: The number of CIFSNG/SMB requests sent to the server per second.
  • Successful: The number of successful CIFSNG/SMB sessions per second. A session is considered successful if it was served in its entirety by the server.
  • Unsuccessful: The number of unsuccessful CIFSNG/SMB sessions per second. A session is unsuccessful for a variety of reasons, such as the file not existing on the server, the test finishing before the file was completely sent to the client, losing the file connection during the test, and so on.
CIFSNG/SMB Active sessions graph The number of active CIFSNG/SMB sessions established during a test. A session is considered active from the time the CIFSNG/SMB protocol conversation has been established, to the time the conversation ends.
CIFSNG/SMB Uploaded files graph The number of attempted, successful, and unsuccessful files read from the client.
CIFSNG/SMB Downloaded files graph The number of attempted, successful, and unsuccessful files written to the server.
CIFSNG/SMB Bandwidth Kbytes/sec graph The incoming and outgoing CIFSNG/SMB bandwidth traffic (in Kbytes/second).
CIFSNG/SMB Authentications per second graph

The number of authentications performed per second. This includes all authentication types (NTLM, NTLMv2, and NTLMv2-SESSION-SECURITY).
