Successive test frames cycle through the list of protocols. If only one protocol is added, all frames generated by the traffic descriptor use that same protocol.

Click the Add> button to add the selected protocol to the IP's Next Protocol Variations list. Click the <Remove button to remove the selected protocol from the list. Click the <<Remove button to remove all protocols from the list.

Depending on the protocol, additional fields may be configured, such as source/destination port.

UDP
Use Random Ports

Available if IP next protocol variation is TCP or UDP.

Randomly select layer-4 source and destination ports.

Selected

Source Port

Destination Port

Available if Use Random Ports is cleared.

Specify a starting port number (Base), number of ports (Count) and increment value (Step) to create the next port number.

Base: 7

Count: 1

Step: 1

Quality Of Service

The Quality Of Service pane lists QoS descriptor tags. Successive test frames cycle through the list of QoS descriptors. Click the Edit button to bring up the QOSListBuilder window, which specifies QoS descriptor tag attributes. See QoS List Builder for more information.
