Using the Interface Editor

Use the Interface Editor to modify data objects used by devices.

To launch the Interface Editor:

Navigate to the protocol configuration tabs using either of the following options in the system tree at the left of the Test Configuration window:
- On the Emulated Device Interface tab in the Devices or All Devices grid, click in the cell next to a port name to select it.
- Click the Edit Interface button in the toolbar above the grid to display the Interface Editor dialog.
To edit or create protocol properties, use the following controls:
- Click Edit Encapsulation to select from the most recently used encapsulations from the popup menu.

Click Edit Encapsulation > Edit Encapsulation to display the Create New Interface dialog box and then: create a new encapsulation.

- insert additional protocols into the interface
- Create Variable Field Definitions
- Click Expand All or Collapse All to expand or collapse the frame view.

Use the Custom Editor dialog to edit type of service (ToS) and differentiated services (DiffServ) service classes in the IP header settings, if applicable.

- Click OK when setup is complete.
To create Variable Field Definitions:
Click the cell in the Value column adjacent to the Modifier cell in the Name column. When modifiers are available, the Actions pane on the left of the dialog displays the Edit Modifier link. Click this link to open a configuration window.
