Description:

An L2 GRE Tunnel Link connects two devices to create an Ethernet over GRE topology. The encapsulation of the source device is stacked on the GRE encapsulation of the destination device. For example, if source device encapsulation is EthII/VLAN/IPv4 and the destination device is EthII/IPv4/GRE, the packets sent from the source device will be EthII/IPv4/GRE/EthII/VLAN/IPv4.
